Expert Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team for an initial short-term assignment. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive and professional finance team, where accuracy and reliability are highly valued.
This is an excellent chance to utilize your experience in accounts payable and work with a skilled team to ensure seamless financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and respond to all finance-related messages and emails promptly.
- Create, maintain, and review vendor accounts with utmost accuracy.
- Process a high volume of invoices, including matching, batching, and coding, while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Coordinate staff reimbursements and distribute invoices for timely approval.
- Prepare EFT payments in line with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure invoices are paid within agreed trading terms to maintain healthy relationships with suppliers.
- Process project timesheets and staff time/attendance records accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile accounts monthly to guarantee financial accuracy and transparency.
- Respond to invoice queries and provide timely resolutions to avoid any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records and support the finance team with administrative tasks as required.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a full-function accounts payable role.
- Certificate III in Financial Services or Accounting (minimum).
- A natural problem solver with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proactive, organized, and reliable, with a focus on accurate outcomes and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, confident dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level experience across various ERP systems.
- Xero & NetSuite experience would be highly regarded.
