As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in our Specialised Supported Living settings.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver person-centred care and support to customers with diverse needs and abilities.
- Promote independence and quality of life for customers through tailored support plans.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, including manual handling and repositioning.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to achieve valuable outcomes for customers.
- Develop and maintain effective communication skills to understand and meet the specific needs of customers.
- Proven experience in the disability field, preferably in group home settings.
- Manual handling and repositioning skills, including hoist experience.
- Demonstrated experience in PEG feeding, stoma care, epilepsy management, challenging behaviours, and Dysphagia training/experience.
- Comfortable with personal care and grooming, and able to engage with customers.
- Australian driver's licence and confidence to drive a 12-seater/wheelchair accessible van.
- Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including overnight, weekend, and public holiday shifts.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent.
- NSW Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC).
