Clinical Nurse Consultants play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of statewide alcohol and other drug consultation liaison services.
This key position involves providing specialist assessments and interventions for clients, serving as consultants to the broader Tasmanian Health Service, and promoting community awareness related to alcohol and other drugs.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide strategic leadership and direction in the development and implementation of comprehensive multidisciplinary statewide alcohol and other drug consultation liaison services.
- Conduct in-depth assessments and interventions for clients in accordance with discipline-specific scope of practice.
- Act as a consultant to the broader Tasmanian Health Service regarding support and management of clients with alcohol and other drug issues.
- A comprehensive understanding of contemporary evidence-based practices used in the treatment and prevention of alcohol and/or other drug dependence.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate/lead within a multidisciplinary community AOD service setting.
- Proven capacity to contribute to quality and safety processes at the individual service level.
