Join our team as a dedicated Quality Specialist to maintain and improve Quality, Food Safety, and Environmental systems.

As a proactive member of the team at Chelsea Heights site in Melbourne's south-east, you'll support all site teams in achieving their targets. This involves leading the development and implementation of HACCP plans, coordinating GMP and internal audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development, implementation, and compliance of HACCP plans and site Quality, Food Safety, and Environmental systems.
  • Coordinate GMP/internal audits, maintain document control, and ensure policies meet regulatory standards.
  • Sponsor and lead site improvement projects in Quality, Cost, and Efficiency using BEX principles.
  • Support and deliver Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental training; assist in developing technical team capabilities.
  • Champion consumer complaints, manage mock recalls, and report Quality & Environmental indicators in site tier meetings.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Science or related field.
  • Experience in similar role within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Sound knowledge in Food Safety and Quality requirements.
  • Ideally experience with GFSI standards, including FSSC 22000, etc.
  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
