About the Role

This is a Permanent Full Time position as a key leader in the Nutrition and Food Services department. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing clinical dietetics services to inpatient medical/specialty units and to specialist outpatient clinics. You will provide professional leadership and operational responsibility for all aspects of the hospital's nutrition and food services.

You will bring strong operational management and budgeting skills to carefully monitor and manage multiple cost centers. You will act as a resource to the hospital in all aspects of nutrition and food services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to achieve the hospital's strategic objectives and deliverables within the division.
  • Ensure a high-performance culture in accordance with the hospital's vision and values.
  • Provide operational management and leadership of food services through the main kitchen and central formula room.
  • Act as a resource to the hospital in all aspects of nutrition and food services.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for recognition as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) or preferably as an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian (Adv.APD).
  • Eligibility for membership of the Institute of Hospitality in Healthcare.
  • Significant experience in both a clinical environment and in a position of responsibility for human resource and budget management.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in an acute health setting and proven ability to manage and lead effectively within a large complex health service.
  • Extensive knowledge of and/or experience with clinical governance, quality improvement, and workforce development.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification in Management, Public Health, or related field preferred.
