As a mobile radiographer, you will travel to various locations equipped with a brand-new portable X-ray unit, performing a diverse range of examinations including chest, extremity, pelvis, and more.
Responsibilities:- Perform radiographic examinations using X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis.
- Communicate effectively with patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and informed consent throughout the examination process.
- Adhere to strict radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Document findings, exposure factors, and QA checks; promptly notify referring clinicians of urgent results.
- Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
- Current registration as a Medical Imaging Technologist (or equivalent).
- A valid license to use radiation in QLD.
- Minimum 2+ years post-qualification experience as a Radiographer.
- Desirable: Dual qualification as a Sonographer.
- Confidence with X-ray equipment and basic IT troubleshooting skills.
- A current driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- A calm, professional communication style, with the ability to work autonomously while being an engaged team player.
