Insulator Job Description

As a skilled Insulator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation of insulation materials on piping and equipment.

Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and drawings to ensure accurate installation of insulation materials.
  • Measure, cut, and install insulation materials (e.g., fiberglass, mineral wool, calcium silicate, foam glass) on piping and equipment.
  • Apply cladding and jacketing (e.g., aluminum, stainless steel) to protect insulation from environmental damage.
  • Ensure proper sealing and finishing of insulation systems to prevent moisture ingress and corrosion under insulation (CUI).
  • Collaborate with other trades (e.g., pipefitters, welders, scaffolders) to coordinate installation schedules.
  • Conduct inspections and repairs of installed insulation as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced Insulator with:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a large-scale oil and gas maintenance environment.
  • Hold a Nationally Accredited OHS Card (CPCCWHS1001 White Card).
  • Ability to pass a project-specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.
  • Ability to work in remote locations or under rotational schedules as required.
