Psychologist Specialist Diagnostic Assessments Role

This is a permanent role for an experienced Psychologist to conduct specialist diagnostic assessments using established tools such as the ADOS-2 and ADI-R in Newcastle.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team delivering exceptional outcomes.

About the Role
  • We are seeking a HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist to perform specialist diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD.
  • You will prepare detailed, professional assessment reports with actionable recommendations and interventions in a timely manner.

  • Conducting specialist diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD.
  • Preparing detailed, professional assessment reports.
Requirements
  • HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Relevant degree in Psychology.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental or specialist developmental assessments.
  • Clinical experience supporting children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties.
  • In-depth knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for autism and ADHD.
  • Proficiency in differential diagnosis.
  • Ideally trained in ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player comfortable in a multidisciplinary setting.
