Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage water management projects with councils and developers from start to finish.
  • Develop strategic stormwater management plans for local councils, incorporating integrated water management where applicable.
  • Facilitate projects at the intersection of integrated water management, stormwater and flood management, sustainability, planning and urban greening.
  • Maintain relationships with councils, developers, authorities and other consultants to address complex challenges.
  • Lead the growth of a water team by setting a positive example and demonstrating initiative.
  • Pursue new opportunities and projects.
Requirements
  • A solid understanding of integrated water management principles, including water resources, flood modelling, stormwater and river science.
  • A degree in civil or environmental engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of how waterway health, flood risk and stormwater systems are interconnected.
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Local private sector experience in Melbourne, ideally 10-25 years.
