Role Description:

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to specialist water management.

The role involves end-to-end, independent integrated water management projects with councils and developers, as well as strategic stormwater management plans for local councils.

Key responsibilities include facilitating projects at the intersection of integrated water management, stormwater, and flood management, sustainability, planning, and urban greening.

Engagement with councils, developers, authorities, and consultants is also required to address complex challenges.

Leading the evolution of a water team through energy, example, and quiet conviction is also expected.

Seeking out new work and project opportunities is an integral part of this role.

Requirements:
  • A strong foundation in integrated water management, including water resources, flood modeling, stormwater, and river science
  • A degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • A deep understanding of how waterway health, flood risk, and stormwater systems interlink
  • Ability to communicate complexity with clarity
  • Local, private sector experience in Melbourne, with 10-25 years ideal
