Swim Teacher Position

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively with students of various ages and abilities, and possess a strong passion for teaching swimming and water safety techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Engaging Swim Lessons: Create an enjoyable and supportive learning environment that encourages students to develop their swimming skills and build confidence in the water.
  • Plan Weekly Lesson Plans: Develop tailored lesson plans that cater to the needs and abilities of students, ensuring they receive a high-quality educational experience.
  • Maintain Student Records: Accurately record student progress, attendance, and any relevant feedback or concerns.
Required Qualifications:
  • Certified Swim Teacher: Hold a current certification in swim teaching and water safety, such as Austswim Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety.
  • Police Clearance: Possess a current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check card.
  • First Aid Certificate: Hold a valid First Aid certificate and Resuscitation training.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Specialized Certifications: Hold certifications in specialized areas, such as Infant & Preschool Aquatics, Access & Inclusion, Adults, and Competitive Strokes.
