About the Role:
This role is focused on delivering probation services to support individuals in their journey towards rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with diverse stakeholders, including offenders, families, and community members, to provide effective support and guidance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and organise tasks to ensure completion within deadlines, working autonomously and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to support service delivery in an environment with diverse stakeholders.
- Maintain awareness of sensitive and confidential issues, ensuring personal compliance with relevant legislative provisions.
- Develop and apply strong communication skills to conduct difficult conversations, problem solve, and negotiate resolutions.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- A degree qualification from a human services discipline is highly regarded.
- A C class licence is required for official travel, with mandatory possession in specific locations identified by the hiring panel.
- Completion of a Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community) within 18 months of commencing employment.
- Ongoing training relevant to the position, including urinalysis testing, court duties, and other operational service delivery requirements.
