Distribution Systems Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Systems Designer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing distribution systems that meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, design expectations, and quality standards.
- Perform complex engineering calculations, including structural analysis, guying calculations, and voltage drop and flicker analysis.
- Develop permitting documents for various authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews and root cause analysis of outages.
Requirements:
Education and Experience- Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial) from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and experience with distribution design software such as BOUD, Pole Foreman, SOCKET, Spida-Calc, or similar.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Construction background, design work, civil engineering, electrical experience, and programming knowledge.
- Experience with Work Management Systems (WMS), SAP B1, and/or SAGE.
- Knowledge of design standards and NESC guidelines.
