Job Summary

The Delivery Offsider is a key customer service role operating vehicles to collect and transport goods from one location to another.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Transport goods to and from various locations, ensuring timely delivery and optimal condition on arrival.
  • Loading and unloading goods.
  • Diligent driving in compliance with all regulations and laws.
  • Providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Accurate completion of all loads and related paperwork, adhering to standard procedures.
  • Maintaining security over loads from theft and damage.
  • Maintenance of equipment in good working order, reporting any issues as required.
  • Reporting any incidents or accidents to the relevant manager or supervisor.
  • Adhering to safe work practices and guidelines.
  • Collaboration with other departments in the preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Following all reasonable directions given by management and adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Self-assessment on personal safety and adherence to assigned lifting requirements.
  • Performing other duties as required by the role.

KPIs - Key Performance Indicators:

  • Goods delivered on time in full – KPI: achieving or exceeding assigned deliveries.
  • Deliveries per day: KPI: xx to xx.
  • Positive external customer feedback.
  • Positive internal customer feedback.

Requirements:

  • A team player prepared to collaborate with all colleagues.
  • Dedication to excellence in customer service.
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • A valid driver’s license suitable for the position (e.g. Standard, light rigid, medium rigid, heavy rigid, or fork-lift).
  • Expertise in operating the assigned vehicle.
  • Completion of driver operations certificate desirable.
