City Asset Manager Opportunity

The City of Launceston is a regional hub in Northern Tasmania, known for its renowned wines and natural beauty.

About the Position
  • We are seeking a highly skilled City Asset Manager to join our team, playing a key role in ensuring the city's assets are well-maintained and managed.
  • This includes overseeing the development, maintenance, and disposal of physical assets such as infrastructure, buildings, and equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective asset management plans to ensure the city's assets meet required standards.

  3. Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports on asset condition, performance, and maintenance activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as engineering or construction management.
  • Proven experience in asset management, preferably in local government.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
