Defence Project Specialist Role

The Defence sector is expanding to support the Estate Works Program, and we are seeking a seasoned project professional to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled project manager to take on greater responsibility and contribute to complex programs and infrastructure projects within the defence or broader government sector.

You will work collaboratively with a supportive team to deliver high-impact projects from planning through to completion. Key responsibilities include managing projects through all stages of the lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and building effective relationships with stakeholders.

We are looking for a mid-senior level project management professional with experience in managing projects, ideally within the defence or government sector. You should have a strong understanding of program and project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile.

About This Opportunity
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage projects through all stages of the lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders through regular engagement
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Engineering, Construction Management); postgraduate qualifications highly regarded
    • Must currently hold (and be able to maintain) a minimum Baseline Security Clearance
    • Proven experience managing projects, ideally within defence of government sector
