We have fixed-term vacancies available for a duration of 6 or 12 months.
Top End Health Services offers a distinctive training atmosphere with exceptional exposure to a wide variety of tropical medical conditions, including the practice of medicine in remote and resource-constrained environments. Our patient demographic is diverse, featuring a significant number of indigenous patients from various linguistic backgrounds.
Royal Darwin Hospital serves as a level three teaching facility, with opportunities for secondments to Palmerston Regional Hospital, Katherine District Hospital, and Gove District Hospital.
Available Positions Within The Division Of Medicine Include:
- Basic Physician Trainees
- Vocational Trainees from ICU or ED training programs seeking specialty rotations as Junior Medical Registrars
- A non-vocational medical professional with appropriate skills and experience looking for short-term engagements between travel or research activities
Rotations through various specialties such as General Medicine, Respiratory, Nephrology, ICU, Cardiology, Geriatrics, Gastroenterology, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Oncology, Haematology, Palliative Care, and Neurology provide trainees with extensive exposure to patient care in a distinctive clinical environment. Trainees will be assigned to these terms as well as to the secondment hospital locations.

Registrar (Salary Package Range $120,408-$150,650)
This package includes a salary range of $108,630-$136,112, superannuation, leave loading, and the equivalent of 2 weeks additional recreation leave.
