We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Carer. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in fostering meaningful relationships with our residents while providing personal care and support tailored to their individual needs.
- Support residents' physical, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing through individualised care delivery
- Assist with residents' care needs in line with their care plan
- Collaborate with team members to promote a harmonious working environment
- Support and advocate the rights of older people
- Assist with personal hygiene, showering, and toileting
- Assist with activities of daily living, dressing, and grooming
- Assist at mealtimes, including feeding
- Administer medication
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Evidence of COVID-19 and current 2024 flu vaccinations per our policies
- The ability to obtain a national police clearance (within six months of validity)
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks
- A Certificate III/IV in Individual Support - Aging
- The willingness to attend a compulsory seven-day induction at our training institute
- An NDIS screen check (or the willingness to obtain one at the interview stage)
- Previous experience administering medications (desirable)
- Effective communication skills and the ability to develop understanding relationships with residents.
