About the Role
We are seeking a qualified OSHC Educator to join our team at YMCA The Gap Outside School Hours Care Service. As an OSHC Educator, you will be responsible for the care of children before school, after school, and during school holiday periods.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist in running engaging and educational activities with primary school children, such as science experiments, outdoor games, and art projects.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment that promotes children's agency and spontaneous play.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement programs that reflect real-world experiences and home settings.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
About the Service
YMCA The Gap Outside School Hours Care Service is a licensed facility for 135 children, offering before-school care, after-school care, and vacation care between 6:30am and 6pm. Our service philosophy prioritizes community and belonging, children's agency, and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood.

Requirements
- A Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor degree in the field of children's services or a related field.
- A current First Aid and CPR certification.
- A Positive Notice Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
