Are you a skilled civil or environmental engineer looking to enhance your technical and project management skills through on-the-job learning? This opportunity offers a chance to contribute to a broad range of civil-environmental projects for government and private sector clients, working as part of a supportive team from concept design to construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed designs for containment facilities, including civil components like earthworks, geosynthetic lining systems, and drainage.
  • Manage field staff conducting third-party quality inspections during construction.
  • Maintain regular liaison with clients, contractors, and sub-contractors; prepare factual and interpretive reports.
  • Utilize digital skills to support project delivery.
  • Collaborate with other technical practices to develop integrated solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Understanding of earthwork design and construction.
  • Knowledge of design and construction using geosynthetic materials.
  • Ability to apply a risk-based approach to problem solving.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Lateral thinking, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for civil/environmental engineering, especially in waste and contaminated land sectors.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and 3D modelling software.
  • Experience in ground engineering is desirable.
  • Interest in developing expertise in ground engineering disciplines like geosynthetics and water management.
  • CPEng / NER / RPEV status (or close to attaining) preferred.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License.
  • Willingness to attend sites to support projects.
