Visual Effects Artist

Your Role
As a Visual Effects Artist, you will combine live action and computer-generated elements into visual effects shots that realise the vision and creative direction of the client. You will work with live action plates, 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering elements, and colour grading to create seamlessly integrated shots.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate your approach for assigned shots alongside the Compositing Supervisor and VFX Supervisor
- Create high-quality complete shots that maintain the overall look, colour balance, and quality for assigned shots and sequences to create uniformity in all finished work
- Collaborate as a team member in determining various aesthetic solutions; provide feedback to other members of the production by attending regular dailies
- Mentor Apprentice / Jr. Artists, assisting them with their shots
- Meet defined milestones within a timeline
- Attend regular dailies and engage in creative problem-solving
- A mix of technical and artistic skills
- Relevant experience in feature film production
- A proven ability through a showreel of compositing skills
- Problem-solving or creative thinking skills
- Proficiency in Nuke
- Python and/or C++ knowledge is beneficial
- An ability to write Nuke gizmos is advantageous
