Automation Engineering Expertise

This role offers a unique opportunity to excel in mid to large-scale network security operations.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in handling and organising vulnerability and maintenance windows, leveraging their intermediate to professional knowledge in coding/scripting to support our network automation platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation, configuration and upgrade of hardware, systems and software for networks.
  • Management of network and security performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting and continuous improvement to optimise performance.
  • Identify, analyse and manage risk at every aspect of work.
  • Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access.
  • Undertake project design and architecture work, including high-level and detailed design work.
  • Provide technical consultation to business/technology stakeholders to support relevant infrastructure partners and other business stakeholders.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Coding Skills:Python scripting/coding (Intermediate) - primary importance.
  • DevOps tools Skills: BitBucket, Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub, Terraform, Vault.
  • Network Security: Operational expertise in the networking domain, showcasing ability to tackle complex network challenges. Experience with F5 load balancer, GTM/LTM, Firewalls - Juniper SRX, Fortinet FortiGate, VMware (now Broadcom) NSX.
  • Data Management Skills: Data Collection, Schema Binding, Data Manipulation and Analytical skills.
