We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will work closely with clients who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurological conditions to provide individualized care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and shopping
  • Provide personal care, mobility, transfers, and use of specialized equipment
  • Offer respite care to caregivers, enabling them to take time for rest or appointments
  • Facilitate social engagement and assist with community activities and appointments
  • Prompt clients to take medication per their Care Plan where required
Essential Skills & Values:
  • Experience working with clients with ASD, demonstrating patience, adaptability, and a highly interactive approach
  • A strong desire to grow professionally, actively seeking opportunities to improve skills and knowledge
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks and proactive in problem-solving
  • Deliver evidence-based care with compassion and integrity
Requirements:
  • Cert 3 or above in Disability/Aged Care/Individual Support is desirable
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in disability or aged care, with a focus on ASD support preferred
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and relevant checks (WWCC, NDIS screening, First Aid, CPR)
