Job Title: Clinical Nurse-Area Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage human and material resources within a defined area in consultation with the Nurse Manager to support clinical standards and quality of care.
  • Uphold and operate within organisational values of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity.
  • Practise as a Clinical Nurse-Area Manager under the direction of relevant Senior Registered Nurses in line with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Making Flowchart.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support including rostering, ordering equipment and consumables, and supporting nursing and medical workforce.
  • Support a dynamic clinical workforce with extensive knowledge of multiple surgical theatre specialties.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two (2) years Theatre Nurse experience and experience in a Theatre Area Manager, Equipment Nurse or BASE Nurse with no APHRA restrictions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Human Resource Management, rostering, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple surgical theatre specialties and ability to support a dynamic clinical workforce.
