We're seeking a skilled Marine Worker or Shipwright to join our team at Select People. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

This is an excellent opportunity to advance your skills in sandblasting, spray painting, and shipwright tasks in a fast-paced marine service environment. Our team provides extensive training to help you grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sand blasting and spray painting on marine vessels.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards in all tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Be flexible to work overtime and weekends when required.

Requirements

Marine Worker

  • Relevant experience in marine work or a painting background is highly desirable.
  • Sand blasting or spray painting skills are desirable but not essential.
  • A car license (manual preferred but not essential) and forklift license (desirable but not essential) are advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality are essential.
  • Well-presented individuals with a positive attitude are preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial.
  • A current boat license is desirable but not essential.

Shipwright

  • Sound knowledge of vessel construction and maintenance practices is required.

Benefits

  • Competitive starting wage: Experienced candidates can earn between $40-$45 per hour, plus superannuation.
  • Standard work hours: 7am – 3pm, with most weeks offering at least 38 hours.
