This is an exciting opportunity to spearhead key procurement initiatives for a leading mining business. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving procurement processes, managing relationships with suppliers, and delivering results that drive value.

Job Description
  • The role involves providing data analysis and reporting requirements to stakeholders using Power BI, Pronto Thin Client (ERP System), and Microsoft Excel.
  • Developing opportunities for improved relationships with existing suppliers and service providers.
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders and end users to build high-quality relationships and provide guidance on buying and procurement decisions.
  • Analyzing supplier performance, supply chain risks, and procurement activities to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • A strong background in leading procurement processes through effective management and/or facilitation to achieve desired outcomes at lowest overall cost and best value for money.
  • Demonstrated consultative approach to managing and driving tangible change.
  • Proven experience in a mining environment, preferably with a contractor background.
  • Strong exposure to ERP (Pronto), EDI (Electronic Data Interface), and PowerBI.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage various tasks effectively.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with a range of suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in an environment with multiple stakeholders (internal and external).

This is a permanent position, offered on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Procurement to drive and execute key procurement initiatives.

The business continues to work on its procurement transformation roadmap, and this role is heavily focused on execution. The ideal candidate will have the confidence to engage across the business and deliver results that matter.
