About the Role

The role of Telemetry and Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Central Coast Council's electronic infrastructure, instrumentation and control systems.

This includes completing complex troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation of communication and networking equipment, instrumentation and control equipment, digital radio and microwave service equipment, SCADA and Telemetry systems to support the operation of water and sewerage automation networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operation and maintenance of electronic infrastructure, instrumentation and control systems
  • Complex troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation of communication and networking equipment, instrumentation and control equipment, digital radio and microwave service equipment, SCADA and Telemetry systems
  • Provide quality customer service and create value for the community
Requirements
  • A Diploma of Electrical Engineering or Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation and Control, or demonstrated equivalent qualification with relevant experience
  • A current NSW Electrical Supervisors Licence
  • A current Class C Drivers Licence
  • A valid Construction - General Induction Card - NSW WorkSafe or equivalent
  • A current Safe Working at Heights qualification or willingness to obtain this qualification

  • Salary range: $85.8k - $103k per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation, plus a $18.92 per week working allowance
  • Permanent full-time role
  • Access to a 9 day fortnight
  • Located at the Erina Works Depot
