
Senior Contract Analyst

This role will be a key member of the finance and accounting organization, collaborating closely with Sales, Legal, and Customer Success teams. It will have high visibility in the sales and billing process, with end-to-end responsibilities in executing contracts.
Carta operates in multiple business units, closing deals with customers daily. Each deal impacts annual recurring revenue (ARR), affecting revenue accounting, billing, collections, and legal relationships with customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting the sales team with customer contract creation, quotes, and subscriptions
- Reviewing bookings and key data points in Salesforce.com and other customer management tools
- Analyzing ARR impacts from new and upsell deals closed
- Implementing new quoting and contract management systems
- Reviewing and signing customer contracts to ensure compliance
- Managing approval processes for non-standard contract terms and pricing/discounts
- Identifying custom terms impacting revenue recognition and resolving issues with the revenue accounting team
- Creating internal documentation to guide sales teams
- Participating in cross-functional product roll-outs
- Implementing team strategies to automate ARR reporting
The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of finance, revenue accounting, and sales operations
- At least 2+ years of experience managing order-to-cash processes
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com, CPQ systems, Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel, and billing/subscriptions/contract management systems
- Experience drafting and reviewing contracts for accuracy and completeness
- Comfort in a fast-paced environment adhering to SLAs and high-volume interactions
- Effective communication skills for various stakeholders
- Experience implementing new systems or automating processes
- Strong organizational and process-building skills
This role will play a critical part in streamlining standard Deal Desk Processes in a fast-growing company. It will also create efficiency around contracting, providing a more streamlined experience for the sales team and accurate revenue recognition across business units.
