Taxation team
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Partners and their team. The ABL tax team is led by Senior Partner, Mark Leibler AC, and is highly regarded for its expertise in tax advice.

Our market leading controversy and advisory practice, together with our extensive history of dealing with the ATO, enables us to provide clients with comprehensive advice on complex taxation laws. We have a deep understanding of how the ATO approaches issues and are skilled in negotiating and dealing with disputes in a way that is acceptable to the ATO.

The role
We're looking for an outstanding graduate who is a self-starter with highly developed analytical skills, an eye for detail and strong interpersonal skills. You should have an exceptional legal mind, as well as commercial and strategic nous. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally.

You will have:

  • completed your law degree or be completing your final semester with excellent academic results;
  • an ability to communicate, both in writing and orally, clearly and concisely;
  • excellent attention to detail;
  • strong interpersonal skills;
  • an ability to understand and identify the key issues in a legal matter;
  • good judgement and common sense;
  • the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; and
  • a passion for a career in commercial law
