We are seeking an experienced Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team in Hobart. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your professional and clinical skills while expanding your leadership capabilities. At CPBS, we offer career progression opportunities, including weekly supervision, team meetings, and monthly training sessions.
As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will work remotely and report to the Head of Regional Services. You will play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programs, and assisting with their implementation. The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in various settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions.
- Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans.
- Provide support to Behaviour Therapists and Support Workers.
- Perform Behaviour Therapist duties if required.
- Provide support and training to employees on clinical techniques.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Work with various professionals to develop and implement individualised client goals and checklists.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of incidents and plans.
- Assist the Regional Clinical Manager as required.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree and/or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support.
- Proven experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst, or Behaviour Therapist.
- High-level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and finalise technical reports.
- Demonstrated and effective time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- A current NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Worker Screening, and Working with Children Check.
- Valid driver's licence and vehicle.
- Willingness to complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support.
