Bechtel Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Expert to join our team in delivering large industrial projects.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in FEED, proposal, and detailed engineering, preferably in an EPC/EPCM industry for large industrial plants, power projects, utilities, oil, and gas plants. They will be responsible for leading design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical components and processes, ensuring that technical issues are resolved and complex requirements are met.

Main Responsibilities
  • Evaluating and selecting standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria for small-scale projects or assignments;
  • Designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating components and processes used in electricity generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage, utilizing relevant engineering department procedures, design standards, and guides;
  • Preparing conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals, and coordinating electrical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, contractors, construction, and other functional groups;
  • Providing guidance to other electrical engineering personnel for specific tasks or projects, and assisting project and construction management in identifying and complying with project electrical requirements and addressing issues during project execution;
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience;
  • Relevant work experience in FEED, proposal & detailed engineering, preferably in an EPC/EPCM industry for large industrial plants, power projects, utilities, oil, and gas plants;
  • Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computer applications within the Electrical engineering discipline;
  • Experience in design, procurement, construction, commissioning, or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, or process plants is desirable;
  • Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods, precedents in the Electrical discipline, principles, and practices of inter-related disciplines, related construction practices, and associated costs;
  • Knowledge of application and coordination of 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools on a project, and knowledge and understanding of technical and cost issues related to selection of design features within the discipline.
