Job Opportunity: Gardener - Handyperson

This is a part-time position commencing Term 3, 2025. The role will be located in the suburb of Secret Harbour, approximately 55 kilometres south of Perth.

The school grounds and gardens are maintained to a high standard by the successful applicant, under direction from the Senior Gardener. The produce garden is developed and maintained, including propagation of seasonal stock and cultivation of growing beds.

Minor repairs and other gardener/handyperson duties are also required as part of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain tools and horticultural equipment in serviceable condition
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the produce garden
  • Provide a suitable growing environment for soft and hard landscaping, including turf management
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to receive and carry out instructions
  • A valid Working With Children Check
  • Current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit
  • Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights
