Are you seeking a new challenge as a senior Speech Pathologist? We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our team of Speech and Language Pathologists.

About The Role

This is a fantastic chance to join our organisation as a Speech Pathology Team Leader/Manager. You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and guidance to the team.

All Speech Pathologists work with disabled infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents who require skilled assessments and intervention to help them develop motor, cognitive, and behavioural skills within the professional scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will assess client conditions using standardised tools to determine optimal treatment plans based on your expertise.
  • Create tailored treatment plans considering the client's age, abilities, and medical/physical factors.
  • Demonstrate high standards of service delivery and clinical expertise for the team to emulate.
  • Coach and mentor the Speech Therapy team to improve the quality of services.
  • Conduct regular meetings to develop therapists' skills and guide them towards external training opportunities.
  • Participate in Leadership Meetings to ensure a unified team approach and share ideas and challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical practices and procedures.
About The Ideal Candidate
  • You must hold a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) from an accredited university.
  • Be currently registered/membership with SPA.
  • Have experience in managing complex caseloads, assessment, and treatment plan development, supervision of staff or volunteers (preferably in a paediatric environment).
  • Hold strong clinical experience (minimum 3 years postgraduate).
  • Be able to create a safe, professional, and supportive environment.
  • Effective communication skills with clients and medical professionals are essential.
  • You must possess professional empathy and rapport-building skills.
  • Will to obtain necessary clearances if not already held.
