About the Role:

This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual with excellent customer-facing skills and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service. As a Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a positive experience for our donors, from greeting and interviewing them to conducting routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate
  • Create a donor experience that meets and exceeds expectations
  • Conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up machines and collections equipment
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood and plasma
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist them with rebooking their next donation
  • Work collaboratively to achieve collection targets

Requirements:

  • Be comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials
  • Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs
  • Support and foster a fantastic team culture
  • Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
  • Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
