Job Summary:

Amentum seeks a skilled Facilities Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and effective operation of our site infrastructure and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control site infrastructure and equipment to maintain optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct safe configuration changes and equipment isolations to minimize downtime and ensure site reliability.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, data collection, and metric reporting to identify areas for improvement and optimize operations.
  • Conduct maintenance and repair activities on a wide range of equipment and infrastructure to ensure continuity of service.
  • React and provide emergency response to ensure site service interruptions are minimized and all critical components are operational.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in relevant industry or trade assistance position or equivalent experience and skills.
  • Applicable experience may include electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical, communication/cabling, fire technician, plant/system control, security or CCTV systems.
  • OR experience in related facilities operations or SCADA system operations.

Minimum Essential:

  • Driver's Licence.
  • HV switching certification.
  • First response/aid.
  • Confined space entry.
  • High risk.
  • Dogger/rigger/crane licence.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Security Clearance Requirement:

It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will require a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) or TS/SCI (U.S.) clearance w/ Poly.

Statement of Work Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to fluently read, write and speak English.

EHS Requirement:

All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health and safety requirements. While Amentum is responsible for providing a safe workplace and is responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements of the EHS Handbook, each person is responsible for:

  • Completing work tasks in a safe manner.
  • Reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor and/or PMO/EHS Manager.
  • Continuous adherence to the environmental, health and safety procedures outlined in the EHS Handbook during the performance of their work.
  • Red-Carding a Job - Employee right and responsibility to 'STOP WORK' if a job is unsafe or possess a danger to the environment.
