About the Role:
We are seeking a suitably qualified Registered Midwife Level 2 to join our team at Centenary Hospital for Women and Children (CHWC). As a Continuity Midwife, you will work to your full scope of practice, including suturing competency, homebirth facilitation, mentorship of junior midwives, quality improvement initiatives, and the full range of clinical and communication skills expected of a CMP Level 2 midwife.
Our Level 2 midwives work in a supportive multi-disciplinary team that will work with you to expand and develop your clinical skills to care for the community within Canberra and surrounding regions.
Successful candidates are provided ongoing education and training opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work to your full scope of practice as a Registered Midwife Level 2
- Provide high-quality care to patients in a tertiary hospital setting
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Requirements:
- Registered Midwife Level 2 qualification
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced tertiary hospital environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
