Opportunity Overview

We're seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Risk Management Specialist. As a key member of our Process and Controls practice, you'll work closely with clients to address their most pressing risks through forward-thinking, technology-enabled internal audit solutions.

This hybrid role is based in Brisbane, offering flexibility and autonomy. Our roles can be adapted to accommodate reduced hours, so we encourage you to discuss potential options with us.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You'll contribute to multiple client engagement teams across various sectors, leveraging your expertise to deliver processes, solutions, and projects that drive long-term value.
  • You'll assist client engagement teams by identifying opportunities to mitigate risk and improve process efficiency, effectiveness, and business performance.
  • You'll be accountable for delivering your own work and meeting required targets that impact the immediate team.
  • You'll have the opportunity to leverage EY's global network to support you in identifying solutions that solve our clients' biggest problems and help them on their transformation journey.

Skill Requirements

  • Broad awareness of technical principles involved in internal audits and service offerings.
  • Able to understand and apply correct methodology, tools, and technology.
  • Develop rapport with clients by demonstrating understanding of their business needs.
  • Communicate effectively with engagement teams and clients through careful questioning and listening.
  • Presentation skills to keep listeners engaged.
  • Able to build relationships with colleagues across the business, supporting them and promoting collaboration.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to build relationships with clients to better understand their businesses and provide relevant insights.
  • Structured approach to project management and documentation, and execution of internal audit methodologies.
