Job Opportunity: Expert Neonatal Nurse

About the Position

As a highly skilled Registered Nurse – Neonatology, you will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver top-notch care and expertise to newborn babies and infants in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill newborns and infants, utilizing evidence-based practices and staying up-to-date with the latest research.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Contribute to the education and development of junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Requirements
  • A current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
  • Experience working in a neonatal setting, preferably in an intensive care unit, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of premature and vulnerable newborns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

About Our Service:

The Neonatology Service provides specialized care for the most vulnerable newborns – those born prematurely or requiring advanced treatment during their initial months of life. Our extensive Neonatal Intensive Care Units oversee the well-being of approximately 3000 infants annually, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient outcomes and family-centered care.

We operate the Newborn Emergency Transport Service (NETS), a mobile intensive care unit designed for safely transporting critically ill babies across WA, providing rapid access to expert care and support.
