We are seeking a skilled Technical Officer to join our Microbiology department at Wollongong Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a range of laboratory investigations and tests, as well as maintaining equipment and adhering to established laboratory processes and protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct laboratory investigations and tests, applying established methods and procedures as directed.
- Maintain equipment and adhere to laboratory processes, procedures, and protocols.
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality results and meet client expectations.
- Develop and implement quality and service improvement activities to enhance laboratory operations.
- Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services within a discipline relevant to the Microbiology department.
- Ability to work efficiently and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients, and clinical laboratory staff.
