Senior Fauna Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Zoologist to join our Terrestrial Fauna Team in Perth, Western Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects, leading surveys, and writing technical reports.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate fauna surveys, including baseline and targeted surveys
- Lead and participate in field surveys, ensuring high-quality data collection and analysis
- Prepare and submit technical reports, proposals, and budgets to clients
- Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to ensure project success
- Provide technical support and advice to the terrestrial fauna team
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or a related discipline
- Five to ten years of professional terrestrial fauna experience, preferably with an environmental consultancy
- Eligibility to work in Australia with a current C-class unrestricted (manual) drivers' license
- Ability to undertake field surveys in remote locations across Western Australia
- Sound physical fitness and ability to pass a fitness assessment for field surveys
- Competitive remuneration package commensurate with skills and experience
- Opportunity to work with a highly experienced team lead and a dedicated team of zoologists
- Part of a broader Environment and Geoscience team across Australia, with opportunities to diversify your skill set nationally
- Penalty rates and time in lieu for extended field work in remote locations
