About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated HR professional to join our client's team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this stand-alone role, you will report directly to the Corporate Services Director and work alongside the leadership team and external HR consultants to deliver an exceptional employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Support: Serve as the primary contact for all HR-related inquiries, providing comprehensive people management support.
  • Policy Development: Create, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure they meet current legislative and regulatory standards.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Coordinate all stages of the employee lifecycle, offering guidance and support to managers on best practices for team management.
  • Health and Safety Initiatives: Lead and enhance workplace health and safety and employee wellbeing programs.
  • HRIS Management: Administer our HR Information System (Employment Hero), collaborating with Payroll to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Recruitment: Oversee the recruitment process from start to finish, advising leadership on candidate selection and onboarding.
  • Workforce Planning: Assist with workforce planning, skills gap analysis, and performance development strategies.
  • Reporting: Provide insightful HR metrics and reporting to the executive team to support strategic decision-making.
About You
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years in a generalist HR role, with a strong understanding of employee lifecycle management and employee relations.
  • Skills: Proven ability to develop and maintain HR policies in line with legislation, and strong stakeholder management skills, particularly in a health, education, or non-profit setting.
  • HRIS Proficiency: Experience with HRIS systems (experience with Employment Hero is a plus).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Checks: Valid Working with Children Check and the ability to pass a National Police Check.
