Kitchen Steward

Job Title: Steward

A Steward plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchens and back-of-house areas. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are always clean, well-maintained, and safe for our guests and staff.

Main Responsibilities:

• Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Carry out general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, washing up, and emptying rubbish bins and boxes.
• Ensure that all kitchen and back-of-house areas are kept clean and that all equipment is cleaned in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
• Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor on duty.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as set by the Hotel's Management.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• The ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• A valid visa or working rights to work in Australia.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
