About the Job

A Kitchen Steward at Hilton Hotels is responsible for delivering exceptional Guest and Member experiences by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment in the back of house areas. This involves operating pot-washing machinery, performing general cleaning duties, and adhering to Occupational Safety and Health and Hygiene Regulations and health and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate pot-washing machinery to maintain a hygienic working environment
  • Carry out general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, washing up, and emptying rubbish bins and boxes
  • Ensure all kitchen and back of house areas are kept clean and equipment is cleaned according to the cleaning schedule
  • Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used and guidelines are adhered to
  • Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor on duty

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. You should also be able to work independently or as part of a team and have a valid visa or working rights to work in Australia.
