Environmental Health Policy Manager

The Environmental Health Policy Manager is responsible for leading the development of food safety policies and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

About the Role:

  • This role involves managing a team of environmental health officers and developing effective working relationships with high-level stakeholders at state and national levels.
  • The successful candidate will participate in on-call arrangements and be required to work outside regular hours as needed to manage incidents and other health protection issues.
  • Possession of extensive knowledge and experience in environmental health, as well as an understanding of the Australian policy and legislative framework relating to food safety standards and regulation, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement effective policies and procedures related to food safety standards and regulation.
  • To provide expert technical advice and support to the team and other stakeholders as required.

Requirements:

  • A degree (or equivalent) qualification in Environmental Health from a recognised tertiary institution is required.
