Job Description\

The role of a Senior Structural Engineer involves performing detailed structural design and analysis, preparing design documents, and collaborating with architects, contractors, and other multi-disciplinary engineering professionals to ensure the structural integrity and safety of designs.

  • Develop structural designs and perform detailed calculations to standards and specifications.\
  • Conduct structural analysis using software and hand calculations to ensure designs meet safety and performance requirements.\
  • Analyse the impact of loads, stresses and other factors on structures.\
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.\
  • Provide technical advice to construction teams during the construction phase.\
  • Conduct site visits as required to ensure construction is in accordance with design specifications and standards.\
  • Ensure all designs comply with local, state and federal regulations.\
  • Stay up to date on industry standards and building codes.\
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings and documentation.\

Requirements\

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in structural engineering primarily with building structures.\
  • Strong knowledge and application of Australian and International Standards.\
  • Experience with design software such as Spacegass.\
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.\
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.\
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.\
  • Applicants must have full Australian work rights.\
