Field Maintenance Supervisor Job Overview

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and experience with large fleets of mobile machinery. A Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or Auto Electrician is also required, along with 5+ years of post-trade experience.

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Field Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily and weekly maintenance activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing these tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to optimize resource allocation.
  • Solve complex technical and logistical problems on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Maintain full compliance with statutory and safety regulations.
  • Identify skill gaps among team members and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities

The Field Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for:

  1. Planning and coordinating daily and weekly maintenance activities.
  2. Ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining high safety standards.
  3. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
  4. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and performance metrics.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or Auto Electrician.
  • At least 5 years of post-trade experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with large fleets of mobile machinery.
  • Mine System Maintenance experience.
  • General Computer Skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
