Explosive Transport Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced transport professional to join our team as an Explosive Transport Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of specialized Class 1 explosive products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading of Specialized Class 1 Explosive products
  • Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as per operational requirements
  • Conforming to the Australian Explosives Industry Code Of Practice Regulations and Legislation
  • Transporting freight in a safe and efficient manner to and from customer sites
  • Ensuring that attention to details is present whilst transporting high consequences products

Requirements:

  • Current MC Drivers Licence
  • Current DGSC licence
  • Current DG Drivers licence
  • Current C1 Explosives licence or Statement of attainment for C1 course
  • National Police Clearance - Not more than 6 months old
  • Ability to work on a FIFO 2:1 arrangement
  • Adelaide resident or ability to facilitate your travel to Adelaide at your own expense
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience driving Double Road Trains
  • Previous experience carting dangerous goods
  • Safe driving record and commitment to creating a safe work environment
  • A sound knowledge of road transport legislation and knowledge of the Australian Explosives Industry Code of Practice Regulations
  • Ability to follow instructions and safe working instruction
  • Experience working across remote locations
