Job Summary:

Centurion is currently seeking a skilled and experienced MC Driver to join our team in transporting explosive products across Australia. This role requires the ability to work safely and efficiently, with a strong focus on attention to detail.

About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working in a fast-paced environment and ensuring the safe transportation of hazardous materials. The successful candidate will be required to work on a FIFO 2:1 arrangement from Perth or Adelaide, with regular travel to remote locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading of specialised Class 1 explosive products
  • Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as per operational requirements
  • Conforming to Australian Explosives Industry Code Of Practice Regulations and Legislation
  • Transporting freight in a safe and efficient manner to and from customer sites
  • Ensuring that attention to details is present whilst transporting high-consequence products

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A current MC Drivers Licence
  • A current DGSC Licence (essential)
  • A current DG Drivers licence (essential)
  • A current C1 Explosives licence or Statement of attainment for C1 course (essential)
  • A National Police Clearance - Not more than 6 months old (essential)
  • Ability to work on a FIFO 2:1 arrangement
  • Perth or Adelaide resident or ability to facilitate your travel to Perth/Adelaide at your own expense
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience driving Double Road Trains
  • Previous experience carting dangerous goods
  • A safe driving record and commitment to creating a safe work environment
  • A sound knowledge of road transport legislation and knowledge of the Australian Explosives Industry Code Of Practice Regulations
  • Experience working across remote locations
