Embark on a career-boosting journey as a payroll assistant in our dynamic organisation. This 18-month traineeship offers a unique blend of hands-on experience and academic growth.

We are a leading not-for-profit, community-focused provider of training and employment services across Australia. Due to expansion, this newly created role will see you supporting a national payroll team.

In this role, you'll gain expertise in administration and payroll by assisting with the preparation, processing, and maintenance of payroll tasks. You'll learn about superannuation, tax, and more from the ground up. Additionally, you'll receive paid study towards achieving a Certificate III in Business, complementing your practical skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Checking and amending staff timesheets
  • Assisting with data entry into payroll systems
  • Preparing and running payroll reports

  • The willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
