Nursing Opportunity in Theatre Care

This role presents a chance for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our theatre team and provide high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care within the perioperative environment, assessing and prioritizing patient care, and working collaboratively with surgeons and anaesthetists.

  • Deliver high-standard nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Assess, prioritize, and manage patient care to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
  • Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment.

About You:

  • Vaccination against seasonal Influenza (mandatory)
  • Vaccination against Covid-19 (recommended)
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated experience in perioperative nursing, including at least one or more of the following areas: Anaesthetics, Theatre, Recovery, CSSD, or Day Procedure Unit.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Competence in intermediate computer skills.
  • Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing (highly desirable).

This role is not suitable for newly graduated Registered Nurses or those with limited perioperative experience.
